Vermentino

Fashionable aromatic speciality of Sardinia and, to a lesser extent, Liguria where it is also known as Pigato. Known as Favorita in Piemonte and Rolle in southern France. It can make some of Sardinia's liveliest whites, with a slight prickle of gas.
