Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard (Chassagne-Montrachet)

White

Cask sample. Quite intense nose. But pretty severe on the finish and a little astringent. (JR)

Drink: 2026 – 2035
Price: £POA per case of 6 ib Berry Bros & Rudd
White

Cask sample. Edgy and reasonably fine textured but a tad chewier than I’d prefer. (JR)

Drink: 2028 – 2040
Price: £POA per case of 6 ib Berry Bros & Rudd
White

Cask sample. Lots of precision here as well as quite a whack of ripe fruit. Absolutely clean and more direct than I remember in some previous years. (JR)

Drink: 2024 – 2034
Price: £350 per case of 6 ib Justerini & Brooks
White

Even more intense than the Chenevottes though I'm not sure the premium is quite warranted. Lots to chew on. (JR)

Drink: 2026 – 2036
Price: £575 per case of 6 ib Justerini & Brooks
Red

Very pale garnet. A bit raw and hard. Definitely not as convincing as the 2021 whites from this address. (JR)

Drink: 2026 – 2034
Price: £270 per case of 6 ib Justerini & Brooks

Pierre-Olivier Garcia (Nuits-St-Georges)

Until the 2019 vintage the wines were labelled Domaine Moron-Garcia, but Matthieu...
