These tasting notes form the last episode of Walter's five-part report on NEW11, the Natural European Wine 2011 conference. See also part 1 for an introduction, part 2 for the discussion of living soils, part 3 for yeast as part of terroir and part 4 on natural wine and the consumer.
Parallel to the conference, a wine tasting in the presence of natural-wine producers from all over Europe had been set up. As the majority of them were Italian, I concentrated, perhaps unsurprisingly, on their wines. See here for a complete list of producers.
