It is a mountain range, spread across three appellations (two DOs, Vinos de Madrid and Méntrida, and the regional classification Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León), three autonomous regions (Madrid, Castilla-León and Castilla-La Mancha) and three provinces (Madrid, Toledo and Ávila).
