Ali Cooper MW spent two very busy weeks in the Rhône assessing this most unusual vintage and has many an article and about 900 tasting notes to share with us. With 2021s more than any other recent vintage, expert advice is especially useful.

UK merchants making offers of 2021 Rhônes

Please let us know if you are making an offer but it is not included below.

A&B Vintners will be making a 2021 Rhône offer (and of late-release 2020s such as Chave) in February 2023, but are already offering a handful of 2021 whites ahead of the main campaign.

Armit Wines are making separate offers for individual producers: Ch de Beaucastel (11October), Dom du Vieux Télégraphe (2 November), Isabel Ferrando (10 November).

Averys are making separate offers for individual producers. 

Berry Bros & Rudd will be making a 2021 Rhône offer in the week beginning 8 March 2023 but they are already offering a handful of other 2021 wines ahead of the main campaign, eg Dom de Marcoux and Clos des Papes.

Davy's Wine Merchants: 24 November

Flint: after Christmas 2022

Goedhuis will be offering Rhône 2021 in the run up to Christmas but as a series of individual offers rather than a single offer for all wines.

Handford Wines: February 2023

Haynes Hanson & Clark: March 2023

Justerini & Brooks: 1 December

Laithwaite's: second half of November

Lay & Wheeler: 29 November (southern Rhône)

Montrachet will shortly (some time in the second half of November) be offering Yann Chave, Jérome Coursodon, Dom du Tunnel, Dom Michelas St-Jemms and Dom des Amphores from the northern Rhône. Stéphane Ogier will follow in the New Year along with Dom Lafond Roc-Epine, Dom de la Bouïssière, Dom du Grapillon d’Or, Bosquet des Papes and Tour St-Michel from the south.

Tanners have so far launched Perrin Family wines, and other growers will follow by 1 December (offers here).

The Wine Society: around 26 January 2023 (details will be given on the en primeur page of their website)

Thorman Hunt are offering Dom du Vieux Télégraphe 2021 with Les Pallières 2021 (offer closed 18 November).
