West London Wine School: Cheese and Wine Pairing Experience

Love Cheese? Love wine? Why not come along to our cheese and wine matching evening and learn more about the best cheese and wine pairings to enjoy at home. We will be exploring a range of delicious cheeses and matching them with some classic wines from around the globe. We will also talk about food and wine matching more generally, and you'll pick up some really good tips to take away and practice at home.

On the evening we will try 6 different cheese and wine combinations, and while they will vary slightly from one event to another they will include a range of the following:

Delice de Bourgogne (triple soft cheese) with ChampagneCrottin de Chavignol (goats cheese) with Sauvignon BlancTaleggio (soft wash-rind cow's cheese) with NebbioloCashel Blue (Irish blue cheese) with sweet wineAged Comte with oaked ChardonnayMature Cheddar and Bordeaux/Bordeaux Style red

REVIEW: 'I attended an evening of wine and cheese tasting run by a lovely bubbly lady who was very knowledgeable not only on wine but cheese and it's manufacturer too.We started of with a lively glass (2 actually!) of Tattinger bubbly paired unusually with a squidge of Stinking Bishop!Not something I would ever have tried but hey why not? It actually worked, the sharp lemony crisp champers cutting the rich strong creamy taste of the cheese. I won't bore by itemising every pairing but all worked really well. Some I preferred to others but on the whole an instructive,enjoyable evening and a chance to taste and compare wines normally out of my price range. Well worth a visit.'
