On Sunday 16 November, the 165th edition of the annual Hospices de Beaune auction took place in Burgundy. This is no ordinary auction, but a time for the great and the good of Burgundy to join forces with wine lovers from around the world, tasting fine produce, catching up on (and creating new) friendships and, above all, helping contribute to a hugely impressive charitable activity supporting thousands of people.
