Vox, TerraVox Hidalgo 2020 Missouri

16

Hidalgo is a cross of Delaware, Goethe and Lindley made available beginning in 1902 by breeder T V Munson.
Quite subdued nose and palate with hints of witch hazel and candied lilac. The overall expression of flavours is quite light, but the overall weight is as well. The acidity is pronounced and persistent. Finishes crisp and dry. The lightness of the wine coupled with its firm acidity makes it a good palate-cleanser and easy to sip on. Food would help allow more of its flavour to show. (ECB)
