William Heritage, Burn Pile Chambourcin 2019 Outer Coastal Plain

15

The Burn Pile Chambourcin carries the lengthy, mouth-watering acidity of the variety housed in the opulence and richness of oak flavours more commonly found in bordeaux blends. Notes of dusty cocoa and dark chocolate, ripe mixed plum and a bit of baking spice. This wine will do well for drinkers who want that richer profile yet still with the palate-cleansing acidity to go beside food. Moderate, pliant tannin and a long finish. (ECB)
