This grand old man of Libourne died on Friday 28 March and will be buried on Monday 31 March. He was the visionary father of Jean-Francois Moueix of the powerful négociant house of Duclot (Bordeaux Millésimes www.chateaunet.com) and Christian Moueix who runs the family business in Libourne with its stable of stunning properties including Chx Pétrus, Lafleur, Lafleur-Pétrus, Trotanoy, Hosanna, Magdelaine, etc, etc. There is quite simply no one else in the world of wine with his sort of influence and track record.
