Vinonomics v3 – the wine price index

 
Below is a listing of the hugely varied current retail prices of one of the most widely distributed wine brands in the world, by country in declining price order.

My original Vinonomics article in 2010 was inspired by the burger price index, where the same item can be compared across multiple markets. In my version, Mouton Cadet rouge is used, a high-volume AC Bordeaux wine apparently sold in 150 markets.
