Alsace – La Journée du Riesling
Alsace wine producers are feeling the pressure of competition from Germany’s remodelled Rieslings and accordingly organised La Journée du Riesling, a big showing of many of the region’s finest Rieslings in Colmar’s exhibition centre earlier this month.
I was in heaven, as you can imagine, and describe the event in more detail in Rieslings from the other place. There were some truly exceptional wines and a few bargains. See my tasting notes below.
