Québecois Thomas Bachelder made some pretty good wines at Lemelson in Oregon and was then lured back to Ontario to be the first winemaker for the ambitious Boisset-Vincor project Le Clos Jordanne.
He has now gone solo, or at least with his wife Mary Delaney runs an ambitious operation that makes Chardonnay and a bit of Pinot Noir in Ontario, Oregon and
Burgundy. Since these are all in the northern hemisphere, I would have thought this would be a logistical nightmare, but I have tasted the latest crop of results (see below) and it all seems to be coming along...
