30 October 2025 This worthwhile initiative needs your support, and you need an excuse to provide it while enjoying some exceptional wines with Jancis in celebratory mood.

The celebrations for our 25th anniversary of JancisRobinson.com and the 50th anniversary of Jancis’s wine writing career continue with a very special event in aid of The Drinks Trust in the historic cellars of Berry Bros & Rudd in London (see above) on the evening of Thursday13 November.

The Drinks Trust, now under the dynamic leadership of Nicola Burston, is a 140-year-old organisation designed to help those in need in the UK drinks industry. Jancis is a patron of the Trust. As you may imagine, its work is incredibly valuable in these difficult times and the numbers of those it has helped have been increasing enormously. It supported 7,553 people last year, an increase of more than 50% on the previous year. It operates a 24-hour support line that was contacted by 1,550 people in 2024, 25% more than in 2023. About 2,000 drinks professionals who found themselves in difficult financial circumstances were helped and 680 students were provided with material assistance. When you next raise a glass to your lips, think of all those involved in getting it there – wherever you are.

This tasting offers a chance to donate the entire ticket price of £700 to this extremely worthwhile initiative while enjoying eight spectacular wines drawn from the Berry Bros & Rudd Family Reserves. See the list below of the wines which Jancis will present, with stories of them, their makers, and her 50 years in wine.

Berry’s brilliant executive chef, Stewart Turner, will present a selection of seasonal canapés, artisanal cheeses and charcuterie to graze on.

We hope you can join Jancis to savour this collection of rare treasures while supporting a worthy cause.
