The UK-based Co-operative chain does everything from selling nappies to arranging funerals. It's a bank, a travel agent, a pharmacy, a farmer – and a wine merchant. So what follows is a bite-size review of their range.

As befits a large, nationwide UK retailer, there are all sorts of styles offered, from familiar names and places – and there's nothing wrong with that. There are a few bum notes, but mostly the selection is solid, mainstream and consumer friendly with some particular highlights coming from a few classic European reds.
