Earlier this month I had the pleasure of attending tastings organised respectively by Justerini & Brooks and Ripley Wines, two of the regrettably few retailers of fine German wine in the UK. (The Wine Barn’s tastings tend to be in January and generally clash with Burgundy Week or some other unmissable fixture which is also to be regretted.
