Just a week to Red Nose Day

Bless her. British wine writer Fiona Beckett of the Guardian and matchingfoodandwine.com has put her favourite Wine Relief wines from Laithwaite's, Majestic, Virgin Wines, M&S, Waitrose, Oddbins and Selfridges, listed in full here, up on Guardian Online here.

Thank you very much, all of you who have so far taken our survey (which is also contributing to Wine Relief). I see several of you asking for more about less expensive wines so I hope this list of recommendations is appreciated particularly by you.

Do remember that at least 10% of the price of any of these wines goes straight to the admirable work of Comic Relief

I'm delighted to report that we raised nearly £2,000 at our Wine Relief dinner at The Quality Chop House on Monday night. Final sums are still being done between the huge numbers of phone calls that have resulted from last Saturday's glowing reviews in both The Times and Guardian

Take a look at details of next Monday's Wine Relief Paulée at MASH in central London.

It's still a bit early to say how much Rose Murray Brown MW's Comic Relief Wine Tasting in Edinburgh raised last night but we hope a thoroughly good time was had by all.

And don't forget that Farr Vintners offer Wine Relief. A full £20 from each case ordered goes straight to Comic Relief, whose main pan-British fundraising campaign culminates in Red Nose Day celebrations and entertainments on BBC1 a week tonight.
