New York (and DC) nooze
Hugh Johnson and I were in New York last week to ensure that the new 7th edition of The World Atlas of Wine got a jolly good send-off. We were lucky enough to hold the launch party in the British Consul-General's residence, which, despite its location on 51st Street and way over on First Avenue (lovely views but only once you have navigated quite a traffic jam), managed to attract a galaxy of wine stars, including Piero Antinori, Jean-Michel Cazes, Michel Chapoutier, Paul and Maureen Draper, Pierre-Henry Gagey, Augustin Huneuus, Prince Robert of Luxembourg, Sir Peter Michael, Christian Seely, Miguel...
