Questions please, for our anniversary celebrations

JancisRobinson.com 20th anniversary announcement

2 November 2020 Many thanks to all who joined last night's celebratory webinar. A 15-minute version, with some members' questions, will be published free tomorrow. On the forum, over the next week or two, I'll be answering some of the questions I didn't have time for last night. See below for what else we have in store.

30 October 2020 Purple Pagers, please find at the end of this article the Zoom link to Sunday's livestream event to celebrate our 20th anniversary. You are more than welcome to join. We have already received many questions from men all over the world, but none from women …?

26 October 2020 This Sunday 1 November (All Saints Day) were planning a livestream celebration of 20 years of JancisRobinson.com when we hope very much as many Purple Pagers as possible will join us. We publish the Zoom link below for members and will be making the whole thing freely available next week.

What would you like to ask me?

We’re looking forward to celebrating our 20th anniversary at the beginning of next month with a series of offerings that are rather more dynamic than our usual diet of articles.

As we have regretfully pointed out in this thread on our Members’ forum, our planned live event to celebrate this landmark is just one of hundreds of things that have had to be cancelled this year. (See the opening sentences in this recent article about madeira.)

But instead we’re planning a rich mix of online content that can be viewed by anyone, whenever they like and whichever time zone they are in, so it will all arguably be more inclusive than what we originally planned.

We’ll kick off on the actual anniversary, Sunday 1 November, with a livestreamed hour in which I’ll tell the story of JancisRobinson.com and highlight some of the changes I’ve seen in the world of wine in the last 20 years, before answering Purple Pagers’ questions.

Please feel free to email any question you’d like answered to [email protected] with '20th anniversary' in the subject line and I’ll do my best to answer it during this livestreamed ingredient. There will also be a chance to email questions during the livestream event, but preference will be given to questions sent in ahead of it.

On the Sunday, the livestream will start at 7 pm UK time, 2 pm EST and 11 am PST (although please note that early that morning the clocks go back one hour in North America). This special live event is meant exclusively for members of Purple Pages, although we will make a version of it freely available the following week.

We’ll subsequently be showing a series of short videos, the first series contributed by individual members of our team, the second a collection of messages from the sustainable wine producers highlighted in the shortlist for our recent writing competition. These will comprise a world tour that we hope will be of real interest to wine lovers. More details later.
