As mentioned in the overview of the southern Rhône, the reds from Châteauneuf in 2022 largely performed very well – it is a very good vintage overall. While the conditions were very hot and dry, and a hailstorm devastated vineyards in La Crau, many producers still managed to make some excellent wines.
