The following selection of notes are the highlights of the Christmas list of the Wine Society, the British institution that is a mail order wine retailer owned by its members. It’s a condensed representation of their entire range – the highlights (and in two particular cases, lowlights) of a diverse and in some cases unique portfolio. Their less expensive wines – especially that Chilean Syrah – are looking particularly good value compared to a lot of high street competition at similar prices, and there’s no artificial price inflation or multi-buy offers to confuse value either.
