Four days zig-zagging the Lisboa wine region in April have left me wanting much more, ideally an extended holiday that would also give me time to explore the coast, from the windswept cliffs around Colares to the beaches further north, some that would surely appeal to South Africa’s winemaking surfers. Plus of course several days in Portugal’s fabulous capital city.
