While the wines and producers described below represent some of the diversity of wines produced under the St-Chinian appellation, I have also included the odd IGP wine that comes from St-Chinian terroir – partly because I felt that they were also representative of the region, and partly because the appellation rules can sometimes be pointlessly bureaucratic (for example, when a wine is declassified because the percentages of the blend don't meet with legislative maxima and minima; some winemakers are more honest than others).
