I tasted these 50 red Rhône wines back in May for British Airways business class. There is nothing sinister in the long delay between tasting and publishing – just a build-up of so many tasting notes awaiting their turn to be shared. And now that I am due in the Rhône Valley itself this week, with a whirl of Rhône 2007 offers in the UK at least, this seems as good a time as any. (We will be publishing a major survey of 2007 Rhône notes very soon – possibly in two parts: north and south.)
