Yoko Obara

Yoko Obara is our Japan-based translator and consultant for the Japanese edition of JancisRobinson.com. She was also one of the supervisors for the Japanese translation of Wine Grapes – quite a challenge! – and translates in person for Jancis and team when they are in Japan. The first Japanese woman based in Japan to pass the MW theory component, she also teaches and writes for a number of publications, including our own and Nihon Wine Kikou (Japan Wine magazine).
