Here's a little Christmas present from us at JancisRobinson.com: completion of our survey of this reasonably priced vintage in bottle. The following 53 significant 2004 red bordeaux were tasted in November at the annual Institute of Masters of Wine claret tasting, which takes place at Vintners’ Hall in London the morning of the day that new MWs are officially enthroned. This means that there are always some people floating on air at this tasting, as well as dreary people like me who hardly lift their eyes from the glass and laptop.
