What is it about Raeburn Fine Wines of Edinburgh that has attracted them to two of the most cussed characters in Italian wine – Gianfranco Soldera of Montalcino and Frank Cornelissen of Etna? Or is it the other way round, and these emblematic wine producers are attracted to the affability and wine knowledge of Raeburn’s founder Zubair Mohamed?
Certainly being UK importer of Soldera’s Case Basse wines, currently selling at around £500 a bottle, must be hugely valuable, even if this family estate’s total average production...
