Clos Haut-Peyraguey 2021 Sauternes

17.5

60% Sémillon, 40% Sauvignon Blanc. Cask sample.
Refined with a flatteringly smooth texture. A wine that tastes like one of those carefully constructed Louis XV tearooms contrived for Ladurée macaroons (sorry about this artful, and possibly unhelpful, simile). Very neat and contained and really rather beautiful, in a sweetly preserved way. Tight and super-controlled.
