Embryonic Nebbiolo in its Barolo form is notoriously difficult to taste. This fickle grape is hard to get right in both the vineyard and the cellar, and is equipped with masses of tannins and acidity when young. It shows its more elegant, complex and less tumultuous tannic form only after many years in bottle.
