2014's breezy Rosso di Montalcino

After the presentation of the distinctly light 2014 Chianti Classicos in Florence last February it was Montalcino’s turn to demonstrate how it had fared with its 2014 Rosso in the coldest and wettest vintage in Italy in almost 60 years. 

In 2014 Chianti Classico has a clear advantage over Brunello. The wines, if very light and with modest alcohol levels, are overall a success considering the very testing vintage of which they are the result.
