Bordeaux 2006 – 112 tasting notes
The Union des Grands Crus have been travelling the world to show off their 2006s now that they are in bottle. Tomorrow I will provide an overview of how they tasted in London recently, both in the Financial Times and here in Free for all.
My principal impression is that this vintage, not designed for a particularly long life, currently seems overpriced. And I would add that, having spent yesterday tasting red bordeaux from vintages 2003 to 2006 at the level below this, cru bourgeois level let us call it, there are many good wines and better buys just one...
