This section of my reports on a whirlwind tour of Champagne in June (see this guide to the resultant coverage) is perhaps the least edgy in this series, being an account of visits to two of LVMH’s well-known houses.

Krug may have traditionally been based around a rather cramped courtyard in Reims but now this prestigious, well-established house has extended so that its glamorous setting includes several of the old family houses, sumptuously renovated and set around what is now a fully fledged park with token yurt, in-house chef...
