A retrospective tasting of the last 40 vintages (1983–2022) of Domaine de Chevalier red was held at the estate on 22 September this year. All 40 wines were produced under the direction of Olivier Bernard and, as he declared on the day, ‘that makes it a doubly unusual tasting’. The wines tasted were all served from magnum in four flights identified as Delicate, Refined, Classic and Iconic, so not in chronological order of vintage...
