Every year the wine producers of the self-styled Gimblett Gravels subregion in New Zealand's Hawke's Bay send me (and several other wine writers around the globe, I believe) a dozen of the best examples of the latest vintage chosen by my fellow Master of Wine Australia-based Andrew Caillard.
