Spain, Languedoc, Roanne, Burgundy, Paris and London this month.
My father would have been 100 this month. He used to say about me and my propensity for travel, ‘she never gets a seat warm’. I finished my May diary just before 14 of us, ranging in age from 75 to 18 months, set off for a few days on the Costa Brava, partly described by Nick in A family holiday – by train.
We had a really lovely time – once we got there. We were not rewarded for saving the planet by going by train. Our TGV broke...
