It's always fun to come across a promising new producer and I was very impressed by the range of 2011s from Julian Haart of Piesport, his second vintage. Although his parents are teachers, he is the nephew of Theo Haart of the irreproachable Weingut Reinhold Haart, also of Piesport.
His previous experience is pretty impressive: a year at Heymann-Löwenstein further down the Mosel, over two years at Emrich-Schönleber, a year at Egon Müller and three years at Klaus Peter Keller. As his UK...
