Opus One is the wine world’s seminal joint venture (first vintage 1979), in this case between the Rothschilds of Château Mouton Rothschild and, initially, Robert Mondavi. Constellation Brands acquired Mondavi in 2004 and although the behemoth has been discarding wine brands left, right and centre, it has clung on to its co-ownership of this world-famous Napa Valley bordeaux blend.
