A guide to the (Italian) guides
Tuesday 20 March 2007
Federico Vincenzi kindly sends us this analysis of the Italian wines most garlanded in the following guides:
- Duemilavini, Associazione Italiana Sommeliers
- I Vini d’Italia, L’Espresso
- Vini d’Italia, Gambero Rosso
- Annuario dei Migliori Vini Italiani, Maroni
- I Vini di Veronelli
Only the following two wines got the top score in all five guides (interesting that they are both IGTs rather than DOCs or DOCs):
CAMPANIA
Montevetrano, Montevetrano 2004 IGT Colli di Salerno Rosso
(Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Aglianico)
