As a complement to today's collection of tasting notes on Jura wines, I thought it might be interesting to publish reviews of current releases from an Australian producer having a go at making Savagnin in the Jura style (you will remember the confusion between Albariño and Savagnin Blanc in Australia). It seems to me as though the 2013 Sous Voile (under film-forming yeast) Savagnin is very inviting – and possibly easier for a newcomer to this style to appreciate than a really extreme example from the Jura.
