Germany's 2011s – truly exceptional

I try not to get too excited any more at my age, but my first impression of 2011 is that of a vintage which will be up there with the greats of recent decades. Some would say that we ain't seen nothing yet, and it is certainly true that we still have to wait for a few weeks or even months, before the very best of the vintage – the Grosse Gewächse, top Auslesen, Beerenauslesen and TBAs – will be available for assessment.
