Oddbins loses its head buyer

Most companies like to bury bad news but if there’s one thing that Oddbins, the UK chain of once-quirky wine stores now owned by Castel of Bordeaux, is good at, it is sending out press releases announcing the next diminution of the team at head office in Wimbledon.
Today we learn that Emma Nichols, their young but respected Buying and Marketing Director, is leaving. “Emma has decided to take the opportunity at this stage in her career to explore other business opportunities”, apparently.
She has been at Oddbins, amazingly, 10 years but it must have become inceasingly frustrating to...
