Later on 12 September In last week's old-vine article Tam wrote about Domaine Jones based in Fitou on the southern edge of the Languedoc, almost in Roussillon where Katie Jones also has an old-vine vineyard. We have just heard the very sad news that Katie's local vigneron husband Jean-Marc Astruc has died at the age of 61 following a year-long illness. The 2022 harvest has already started at Domaine Jones and we send Katie, ever dynamic, our deepest sympathy.
