Here is the longer, second instalment of my notes from a comprehensive blind tasting of all the top wines of Bordeaux, and many others besides – 197 wines in all. Alas, real successes in the lower ranks are more elusive in this particularly late vintage than in the two vintages that succeeded it but they exist.
Tasting notes are listed alphabetically within group, the groups being ordered thus:
