Michael Alberty, ex Oregon wine retailer, reports on today's extraordinary goings on in America's Pinot Noir state. He has written professionally about topics such as American baseball and global environmental politics. He recently closed his bottle shop in Portland, Oregon, to dive head first into full-time wine writing and says he hopes the water is deep enough to avoid serious injury.
