Rapalino Chardonnay 2019 Langhe

16

Full bottle 1,373 g.
Quite a big boy, and I’m not sure I would have identified this as Chardonnay had I been served it blind. So peachy and nutty it reminds me of Viognier. Certainly plenty of oak, giving it a rich hazelnut-dukka crunchy, savoury overlay. Apricot-sharp acidity with a scythe-like sweep through the wine. The perfect wine for roast pork (and apricots?) or a spicy creamy butternut and quince soup. (TC)
