Rodríguez de Vera, Atalaque de la Peraleda Garnacha 2017 Méntrida
17.5
Full bottle 1,481 g. 70-year-old vines.
This smells just like cherry cheesecake. Scrumptious cherry fruit with a little wild, spicy element. Cloves. Marzipan. Cinnamon. And then just wave after wave of lip-smackingly juicy wild-cherry sweetness with its sassy streak of sour and bay-leaf green under its fingernails. Immoderately delicious, despite the screamingly high alcohol. Sip at the speed you would a very strong negroni. (TC)
