Sara Vezza, Ravera 2017 Barolo

18

Full bottle 1,304 g.
Such a pretty nose – a tumble of pink cherry and orchard blossom, a fine haze of stone dust. Absolutely stunning. Lustrous but eucalyptus-menthol-cool red fruit. Secluded incandesence. A minerality so fine, so etched, so vertically resonant through the wine that I felt it crackle up my spine like an electric current; minerality hatched craquelure on the porcelain tannins curving around the fruit. So much length that it's like looking at the sky through a telescope; on and on and on into forever. A wine with its roots deep in the earth, but every molecule upturned to the stars. (TC)
