Three Choirs, The Society's English White 2021 England

15.5

Blend of Madeleine Angevine, Solaris, Orion, Seyval Blanc, Reichensteiner and Bacchus. Harvest: mid September to mid October Fermentation: three to four weeks cool ferment (16 °C), no malo, and a further two months’ ageing in stainless steel. Bottled under screwcap January 2022. RS 3.7 g/l, TA 5.9 g/l, pH 3.5, SO2 total 130 mg/l, SO2 free 35 mg/l.
Clean, off dry, lots of hedgerow character – just a bit too chewy on the end. But it should satisfy fans of English wine at this price!
