This week at the vineyard, I was removing fishnet stockings from female legs. That, at least, is what I was trying desperately to imagine to enliven the task in hand. The fishnet stocking resemblance was a reasonable leap of faith, I thought, for the rabbit net (pictured below right); but substituting even the most slender vine trunk for a female thigh was not so easy.
It did at least keep my mind focused on the work (see picture top left for rows of vines before and after rabbit net removal), and kept an oddly lunatic smile on my face as...
