I tried to approach this tasting of 65 Bordeaux 2003s, from crus bourgeois up to first growth and everything in between, with an open mind. The tasting conditions created by London's fine-wine merchant Bordeaux Index were ideal, even if after a decade one or two bottles they had sourced, notably Ch Lafleur, were perhaps not showing the wine at its best.
